American surfer, Carissa Moore has made a whooping sum of $2.1 million so far in her career.

Carissa was born on August 27, 1992 and was the first Olympic Gold Medalist in women’s short board surfing in 2020.

Moore began surfing at an early age of 5, being coached by her father who used to be a competitive swimmer. At age 11, she had recorded multiple wins at National Scholastic Surfing Association, NSSA, junior surf competitions.

By the time she was 16, she had 11 NSSA amateur titles to her name. She was crowned the youngest champion at a Triple Crown Surfing event at that time.

She clinched the Women’s Championship tittles for 5 years, at the 2011, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2021 World Surf League WSL Women’s World Tour Champion, and has since 2014, been inducted into the Surfers’ Hall of Fame.

Moore is known to prefer wearing the flag of Hawaii, rather than the United States flag whenever she represents the United States at World Surf League international competitions.
