Singer and songwriter Michelle Branch is married to Patrick James Carney a musician and producer best known as the drummer of the Black Keys, a blues rock band from Akron, Ohio.

Branch met Patrick Carney of the Black Keys at a Grammy party in 2015, and the two began dating during the filming of Hopeless Romantic.
Branch and her daughter moved into Carney’s Nashville home in 2017. Branch and Carney’s son was born in August of 2018. The couple lives in Nashville with their two Irish wolfhounds and two children.

Branch and Carney tied the knot on April 20, 2019. She gave birth to a daughter in February 2022, her third child and her second with Carney.
Carney currently produces and writes music from his Audio Eagle recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee. He has worked with a diverse range of musicians, including the Black Keys, Michelle Branch, Calvin Johnson, and others.
Carney also composed the main title music for the Netflix show BoJack Horseman in 2014.
