David Warner, an English actor who appeared in films such as The Omen and Tron, died on July 24, 2022, at the age of 80, from a cancer-related illness at Denville Hall, an entertainment industry care home.

His family announced the news “with an overwhelmingly heavy heart.”
“He approached his diagnosis with characteristic grace and dignity over the past 18 months,” his family said in a statement to the BBC.

Warner was also known for his role in James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster Titanic as Billy Zane’s villainous sidekick Spicer Lovejoy. In Mary Poppins Returns, he played the naval eccentric Admiral Boom.
He is survived by his devoted partner Lisa Bowerman, his adored son Luke and daughter-in-law Sarah, his dear friend Jane Spencer Prior and his first wife Harriet Evans.
