What does Sergey Brin do now?

Sergey Brin is a business magnate, computer scientist, and Internet entrepreneur from the United States.

He and Larry Page cofounded Google in 1998 after meeting at Stanford University while studying for advanced degrees in computer science.

In 2004, Google went public and began trading as Alphabet, a newly formed parent company.

Brin served as the president of Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc., until his resignation on December 3, 2019.

He and Page are still co-founders, controlling shareholders, board members, and employees at Alphabet.

Brin was largely absent from public Alphabet events in 2019 because he was working on Alphabet’s moonshot research lab X.

Brin is said to be investing in a high-tech airship project known as Lighter Than Air (LTA)

It is set to begin test flights over Silicon Valley in 2022. With “zero emissions” flights, LTA hopes to reinvent the blimp for the twenty-first century.

He began working on LTA in 2017 before leaving his position at Alphabet.

Brin is the seventh-richest person in the world as of July 2022, with an estimated net worth of $99 billion.
