Israel’s first wonder woman, diplomat and politician, Tamar Eshel, was aged 102 at the time of her death.

Eshel was raised in Haifa, following her parents’ movement to Palestine, as far back as 1923.
Her parents were emissaries of the Jewish Agency in England.
Her mother was a part of the Feinberg and Belkind families, and her father was one of the first attorneys in the territory at the time
Eshel attended the Hebrew Reali School and later proceeded to the University of London to bag a degree in Oriental studies.
She died on July 24, 2022, on her 102nd birthday, while in Jerusalem, Israel.
