DC released teaser trailers for Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Black Adam at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 23 2022. The trailer has fans wondering if Black Adam will appear in the new Shazam! film.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods will not feature Dwayne Johnson’s, Black Adam. However, this does not rule out the possibility of the character returning in a future project.
The original concept for the film was to combine Black Adam and Shazam into a single film. This changed thanks to Dwayne Johnson, who believed the two characters deserved their films.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, producer Hiram Garcia hinted at a possible crossover and explained, “It’s all part of the mission.” It’s all part of a shared universe in our minds.

“However, the way we see it and our hopes for the Universe are all shared.” And I believe you can feel the ripple effects of these guys in the Universe.”
Black Adam is currently scheduled to premiere in the United States on October 21, 2022, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to be released on December 21, 2022.
