The trailer provides a brief synopsis of the 2019 Shazam film, which grossed $365 million worldwide.
The film followed Billy a newly-fostered adolescent on the hunt for his mother, only to discover unexpected superpowers when he says the magic word “Shazam!”
In the new trailer, The “Daughters of Atlas,” are on a mission to reclaim the power of the gods “stolen” by Billy and his friends. The film’s main antagonists are the demigod siblings.

The film will star the original cast, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Zachary Levi as Shazam, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as Superhero Freddy, Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley, Meagan Good as Superhero Darla, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Ross Butler as Superhero.
Newcomers include Rachel Zegler as Anthea, Lucy Liu as Kalypso, and Helen Mirren as Hespera.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to open in theatres internationally beginning December 15, 2022, and in North America on December 21, 2022.
