Charles Kushner is a real estate developer in the United States, a former federal inmate, and a disbarred former attorney.

Charles Kushner is the father of Jared Kushner. Jared is the husband of Ivanka Trump and son-in-law of former President Donald Trump. He has 3 other children including Joshua Kushner.

He founded Kushner Companies in 1985. Charles was convicted of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering in 2005 and sentenced to two years in the Federal Prison Camp, Montgomery.

He was also barred from practising law in three states because he was a convicted felon. On December 23, 2020, President Donald Trump granted him a federal pardon.

Kushner relocated his business from New Jersey to New York City after his release from prison. Kushner Companies paid $1.8 billion for the 666 Fifth Avenue building in Manhattan in early 2007.

Kushner and his family were estimated to have a net worth of $1.8 billion at the end of 2016.

Kushner is a trustee of Touro College, Stern College for Women, the Rabbinical College of America, and the United Jewish Communities.

In recognition of their $20 million donation, the Shaare Zedek Medical Center campus in Jerusalem has been renamed the “Seryl and Charles Kushner Campus.”
