How did Sydney McLaughlin meet her fiancé?

Sydney Michelle McLaughlin is an American hurdler and sprinter who holds the 400m hurdles World Record.

Sydney is married to Andre Levrone Jr., a former NFL player who played three seasons as a wide receiver in the NFL before leaving the league.

Sydney revealed how she met her then-fiance  in The Knot’s special mental health issue’s spring cover story,

Sydney met the former NFL wide receiver met through a mutual friend. She said in an interview that Levrone Jr., 26, “slid into her DMs” and they became fast friends who bonded over bible study. The friendship grew, and she credits it to the pair’s strong faith.

“A big part of meeting my fiancé had to do with the evolution of my faith, discovering who I am in Christ, and submitting all my plans to God.” “I met Andre not long after that,” McLaughlin explained in the interview.

“It was the first time I was in a relationship with a man who I felt could lead me in my faith to where I wanted to be,” she added.

Sydney McLaughlin knew she’d found her true love in fiancé Andre Levrone Jr. from the start. The couple married on May 5, 2022.
