Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Biography

Kojo Vincent Oppong Nkrumah, popularly referred to as Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, is a Ghanaian politician. He is the Minister of Information and the Member of Parliament for the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was born on 5th April 1982 in Koforidua to Oppong Nkrumah who was a banker and Felicia Oppong Nkrumah, a teacher. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah comes from Akyem Anyinase. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is married to Akua Oppong Nkrumah. They are blessed with three Children; Kwaku, Afua, and Kofi.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah began his career as a Treasury Analyst at British American Tobacco in 2006. After which he moved to Joy FM as a broadcast journalist. He was the host of the Super Morning Show. He backed out of journalism in 2014.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Educational Background

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah had his primary and Junior Hgh School(JHS) education at the St Bernadette Soubirous School in Dansoman. He proceeded to Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary for his Senior High School education. He went to the University of Cape Coast(UCC) and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

He also graduated with an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2012. He studied Law at the  GIMPA law faculty and was awarded a bachelor’s degree in 2014. He was then called to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Political Career 

He contested and won the National  Patriotic Party(NPP) primaries for the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern region of Ghana in 2015. He is the Minister of Information and the Member of Parliament for the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency. He also serves as a member of the Finance and Constitutional committees of the 7th Parliament of Ghana and is the Cabinet spokesperson on the Economy.
