Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel popularly known as Mayorkun is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and pianist. He was born on March 23, 1994, in Osun State, Nigeria. His mother is a Nollywood actress and his dad an artist and movie, producer.

Mayorkun attended the University of Lagos where he had his first degree in Accounting. After his graduation, he began working in a bank before he switched to do music.

Mayorkun began his musical journey by joining the church choir at a very tender age.  He was discovered by Nigerian musician Davido after he spotted his cover video. Davido signed him to his record label, Davido Music Worldwide.

The artist released his first single, Posh and Fantasy as a teaser to the grand release of his first studio album, The Mayors of Lagos in 2018. This album made waves in Nigeria and across the continent, it also made its way to Billboard. He has since then stayed afloat and made a lot of strides in the music industry.
