Mickey Rooney Jr. was an American actor. He was also widely known as the eldest son of the actor Mickey Rooney, and operated the Rooney Entertainment Group, a film and television production company.

Mickey Rooney Jr was born on July 3, 1945 and died on July 16, 2022 aged 77.

Rooney Jr.’s long-time companion Chrissie Brown confirmed the sad news to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rooney Jr.’s friend Paul Petersen also shared the sad news on Facebook. Petersen wrote;

“Mickey Rooney, Jr peacefully passed away this morning in Arizona. For the past many years, he lived with and was in the care of Chrissie Brown and her family.”

There’s no information on Mickey Rooney Jr’s children and as a result it’s not known if the actor had children.

However, he was previously married to Laura Hollander in 1986 and they were together until her death in 2006.

Before that, he was married to Playboy Playmate of the Month Merci Montello from 1967 to 1986.
