John Duarte: Who is Jessie Duarte’s ex-husband?

Jessie Duarte was married to John Duarte. They got divorced in 2001 after failing to resolve their differences. They had two children together.

There isn’t much information about John Duarte however, he was one of the individuals whose name popped up in the proof of money flows from Gupta contracts.

Consultancy firm, Combined Private Investigators said John Duarte worked with Gupta associate, Salim Essa. The state capture commission heard that the company paid them through a private entity, Chivita because they were deal brokers and rainmakers.

The actual reason why the two separated isn’t known.

Jessie Duarte, the acting secretary general of the African National Congress died on the dawn of July 17. According to reports, she was battling cancer before she passed on.
