“My dad has played an important role in my life. He has really helped my technical game when I needed most but the role he plays as dad and mentor drives me on,” Tyrrell Hatton stated on his official website.

Why did Tyrrell Hatton choose his dad as his coach?
According to Jeff Hatton, all the coaches they (him and Tyrrell Hatton) had gone to had the same advice and technicalities as him (Jeff Hatton), therefore he didn’t see why he should let anyone else coach his son while he can do the same job and even better.
“We went to a few coaches; the local pro, county coach. It was all good stuff but nothing I wasn’t telling him already,” Jeff Hatton said.
