André Burakovsky is a Swedish-born professional ice hockey forward for the National Hockey League’s Seattle Kraken (NHL).

Burakovsky was born in Klagenfurt, Austria, where his father was playing hockey at the time, but grew up in Malmö, Sweden, where his father was born.

Burakovsky made his professional debut at the age of 16 with the Malmö Redhawks of HockeyAllsvenskan during the 2011-12 season.

He previously played for the Washington Capitals, who selected him 23rd overall in 2013, as well as the Colorado Avalanche, who acquired his rights and signed him during the 2019 offseason.
Andre Burakovsky won a silver medal playing with Team Sweden at the 2012 IIHF World U18 Championships.
Burakovsky is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, having won with the Capitals in 2018 and the Avalanche in 2022.
