Randy Johnson’s fastest pitch came at the age of 40, clocking in at 102 mph. Johnson became the oldest pitcher in major league history to throw a perfect game on May 18, 2004.

In addition, he became the fifth pitcher in Major League history to throw a no-hitter and a perfect game in the same season.
On June 29, 2004, Johnson struck out Jeff Cirillo of the San Diego Padres to become only the fourth MLB player to reach 4,000 strikeouts in a career.
Johnson’s 303 career victories rank him fifth all-time among left-handers, while his 4,875 strikeouts rank him second all-time.

Johnson is a ten-time All-Star who has five Cy Young Awards and is one of only two pitchers to have won the award in four consecutive seasons (1999-2002).
Johnson is also one of five pitchers in both leagues to throw no-hitters and one of 20 pitchers in MLB history to win against all 30 teams.
He is also known for his longevity; he pitched past his 46th birthday which is an extremely rare feat in the MLB, especially for a pitcher.
