AB Crentsil was a Ghanaian musician. He was one of the big three contemporary Ghanaian vocalists. He won several Ghanaian music awards, including the Fontomfrom Evergreen Award.

AB Crentsil was born in Prestea, Gold Coast (Ghana) to the late Alfred Benjamin Crentsil Sr and Esi Yaaba in 1943. He was always known as AB junior until his father died when he assumed the name without the junior.

He had both primary and middle school education in the Takoradi Methodist Primary and Rev Cleveland Middle School respectively. After middle school, he worked as an electrical apprentice under his father, who was the Works Superintendent of the technical branch of the Ghana Railways at Takoradi.
Crentsil was introduced to the guitar by Mr Theodoh and became proficient in playing and started singing along when playing it. He then released albums and won accolades that are awarded to top musicians in Ghana.
He died on July 13, 2022. The cause of his death is yet to be communicated.
