On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Novak Djokovic won his fourth consecutive Wimbledon men’s singles title, as well as his 21st grand slam title overall.

He is now one grand slam title short of Rafael Nadal’s record of 22.
Djokovic also won in 2018, 2019, and 2021 after the 2020 tournament was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Serbian star defeated Nick Kyrgios in a thrilling Centre Court final, winning 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-6. (7-3).

Djokovic fell behind early on as Kyrgios made a strong start. But the seasoned 35-year-old fought back to win his seventh Wimbledon title.
Both players held their serves after Djokovic broke Kyrgios for the first time in his career. The third set was tied at 4-4 when Djokovic came back from 0-40 to break the Australian and take a 5-4 lead, which he then held to win the set.
The fourth set was as close as it gets, going all the way to a tiebreaker, but Djokovic took control in the shootout and went on to win 6-1. Kyrgios tried to fight back, but it was too late for the Australian.
