Kazuki Takahashi was a Japanese manga artist and game creator, best known for creating Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Kazuo Takahashi, known professionally as Kazuki Takahashi, was born on October 4, 1961, in Tokyo, Japan. There is not much available information regarding his family background, educational background and childhood.

Kazuki Takahashi began his career as a manga artist in the early 1980s. He has worked for various magazines, including Weekly Shōnen Sunday and Weekly Shōnen Magazine. He started with a major work, Tokio no Taka (Fighting Hawk), which was published in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1990.

Kazuki Takahashi rose to prominence after he launched Yu-Gi-Oh! in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1996. His work was serialized until 2004 and has sold over 40 million copies. The series received an anime television series and a trading card game.

Kazuki Takahashi released the one-shot manga Drump was released in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2013. He was given the Inkpot Award from Comic-Con International for his outstanding contributions to comics in 2015. His limited series The Comiq was also published in the Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2018.

One of his earliest works was Tennenshoku Danji Buray which was published from 1991 to 1992. He has also written a two-part manga, titled Secret Reverse which was released on Shōnen Jump+ in September 2019.

Kazuki Takahashi Cause Of Death

The official cause of death has not been revealed to the media yet. However, it is rumoured that he died from a reef shark attack apparently while snorkelling. Kazuki Takahashi was found dead on July 6, 2022, 300 meters off the shore of Nago, Okinawa, by Japan Coast Guard officers. He reportedly died a few days prior to the discovery of his corpse.
