Larry Storch, the stand-up comic turned television actor who made an indelible impression as the bumbling Corporal Randolph Agarn on the 1960s sitcom F Troop, has died.

Storch was born on January 8, 1923 and he died on July 8, 2022, aged 99.

Storch’s death was announced on his Facebook page. The announcement read;

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you the news our beloved Larry passed away in his sleep overnight.

We are shocked and at a loss for words at the moment. Please remember he loved each and every one of you and wouldn’t want you to cry over his passing.

He is reunited with his wife Norma and his beloved F Troop cast and so many friends and family.

Larry Storch Obituary

Storch was born in New York City to Alfred Storch, a realtor, and his wife, Sally Kupperman Storch, a telephone operator.

Storch attended DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx with Don Adams, who remained his lifelong friend.

Storch said due to economic hardship, he never graduated from high school, instead finding work as a stand-up comic for $12 a week opening for bandleader Al Donahue at the band shell in Sheepshead Bay.

Storch served in the United States Navy during World War II, where he was shipmates with Tony Curtis on the submarine tender USS Proteus (AS-19).

Storch was originally a stand-up comic and he made dozens of television series, including;
