Sajid Javid attended SGS College – Filton Campus – between 1986 and 1988. He also attended Downend School.

Javid had his college degree in Economics and Politics at the University of Exeter.

Upon graduation, he worked in the banking sector, and later became the Managing Director at Deutsche Bank.

Sajid Javid Ethnicity

Javid, is originally from Pakistan.

He hails from the village of Rajana near Toba Tek Singh, Punjab.

Although, he was born on 5 December 1969 in Rochdale, Lancashire, his parents were Pakistani Punjabi immigrants as far back as 1960.

His family moved from Lancashire where his father worked as a bus driver.

From a very young age, Javid had vast knowledge of the financial markets. At age 14, he was already an investor and a reader of the Financial Times.

Sajid Javid Political Career

Javid has served as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care for a year. He had previously served as Home Secretary, as well as Chancellor of the Exchequer.

He belongs to the Conservative Party.

Javid served as a member of the House of Commons under the regime of David Cameron.

From Junior Treasury Minister, he was promoted to assume to assume the position of Culture Secretary and another promotion in 2015 as Business Secretary.
