The Championships are given to both the driver and the team who have accumulated the most points during the Championship season.
In 2022, the first ten finishers receive 25 points for a win, 18 for the second, 15 for the third, then 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 for the remaining top ten finishers.
If a driver in the top ten scores the fastest lap, they receive an additional point. Previously, only the top five and the fastest lap setter received points, followed by the top six finishers and finally the top eight finishers.
