Rigoberto Uran, who recently battled with COVID-19 lost 1:07 to Pogacar.

Also, Dani Martinez and Enric Mas (Movistar) lost 49 seconds.

When Does The Tour De France Begin?

The Tour de France 2022 begins in Copenhagen on July 1 and will wrap up on July 24 at the Champs-Elysees in Paris.

During the 21 stages in Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland and France, riders will cover over 200km thrice.

The 21 stages will include six flat stages, seven hilly stages and six mountain stages with five summit finishes.

The longest stage of the Tour de France 2022 is the hilly stage six.

This stage falls between the Belgian city of Binche and Longwy in north-eastern France.

It spans below 220km and riders are expected to finish it in 5 hours or more. After about 146km, there will be three major climbs, including the two-kilometre Cote des Mazures.
