She is an ex-soldier of the US Army, and has been married to Jared for 13 years now.
She met him while they both served in the U.S army. Catherine has continued to remain Jared’s inspiration on his career journey.

Jared’s amateur career in mixed martial arts began in 2011, when he won his first two fights by knockout.
The same year, he made his professional MMA debut in Alaska, and in five years, he made a record of 7–0.
In 2016, Jared faced Cyril Asker at the UFC Fight Night: Rothwell vs. dos Santos.
He ended up defeating Asker by knockout by a combination of elbows and punches.
The win also earned Cannonier his first Performance of the Night bonus award.
In January 2022, he earned a Performance of the Night bonus award, following his bout with Derek Brinson at the UFC 270.
On July 2, 2022, Jared lost to Israel Adesanya at the UFC 276 Middleweight Championship via a unanimous decision.
