Katie Boulter said her late grandmother’ favourite tournament was the Wimbledon and she was going to dedicate her Wimbledon Win to her.

Katie’s grandmother, Jill, had passed on two days before her victory at the Wimbledon Championships.
“I’m going to get so emotional; I’d like to dedicate it to her,” Katie said with tears in her eyes.
“Her favourite tournament was Wimbledon,” Katie explained. “That’s why it’s a special one for me. Yeah, she’d watch every single match that was on the TV.”
Katie said she got a heartbreaking phone call from her grandfather who told her mama Jill was close to death.
The news came shortly after her first-round victory over Clara Burel.
“I actually had a phone call from my grandpa the night before I played,” Boulter disclosed. “He didn’t mention anything, but he kind of gave me the inkling that it might be coming.

“I didn’t know anything until after my first match where my mum basically pulled me aside and told me after the first match.”
Who Is Katie Boulter?
Katie is a British tennis player Boulter, who hails from Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire.
She is a holder of six singles and four doubles titles on the ITF Women’s Circuit.
Katie has achieved a career high of world number 82 on the singles ranking and world number 431 in the doubles rankings.
In 2014, she was world number 10 in the junior tennis player category.
Katie is being coached by Jeremy Bates, Nigel Sears, and Mark Taylor.
She spends most of her time in Roehampton, at the Lawn Tennis Association’s National Tennis Centre.
