The Tory deputy chief whip has resigned after allegedly groping two men while he was drunk. Chris who was responsible for maintaining discipline among the MPs apologised to Boris Johnson adding that “it had been the honour of my life to serve the government”.

In the resignation letter, he accepted that he had embarrassed himself and other people after drinking too much.

Pincher was drinking at the Carlton Club in Piccadilly, a Tory party private members club when he allegedly assaulted two other guests.
It has been reported that he will be allowed to stay on as a Tory MP because he has admitted his wrongdoing. This is the second time he has had to quit the whips office over allegations of sexual misconduct.
