What Happened To R Kelly?
The US District Court, on June 29, 2022, sentenced R.Kelly to 30 years in prison, following numerous allegations of sexual harassment, minors inclusive.
He was also billed to pay a $100,000 fine for charges of sex trafficking of underage girls, whom he abused for many years.
R Kelly, though a high school dropout, made significant success before his downfall.
It began in 1991, when the singer won the Big Break talent show, and took home a whooping sum of $100,000 prize, plus a contract with Jive Records.
As of 1995, he had sold 4million copies of his all-time hit single I Believe I Can Fly.
