What STD did R. Kelly give?

R Kelly was having herpes. He reportedly paid $200,000 to settle a lawsuit brought by a woman who accused him of giving her herpes two decades ago without disclosing he had it.

The woman testifying during the trial’s third week told the jury she was 27 when she met Kelly through a mutual friend in 2001, she said when they began having sex. she told him she was worried about STDs, including AIDS.

When she asked him to use protection, “he just said no”, she said.

Earlier in the trial, which started on August 18, two other witnesses took the stand to testify that Kelly gave them herpes. His former doctor also testified that he repeatedly prescribed medication to Kelly for herpes.

Herpes simplex viruses spread from person to person through close contact. One can get herpes from touching herpes sour. Most people, however, get it from an infected person who does not have sours.
