Juan Carlos Ferrero Donat is a former world number one tennis player from Spain. He won the men’s singles title at the 2003 French Open and became the 21st player to hold the world number one ranking for eight weeks in September of that year.

He finished second in the 2002 French Open and third in the 2003 US Open and won 16 ATP titles, including four Masters 1000 events.

Ferrero announced his retirement from professional tennis after the 2012 Valencia Open.

Juan Carlos Ferrero was a victim of a death hoax in June 2022. Thankfully, the 42-year-old tennis player is alive and well.

Who did Juan Carlos Ferrero coach?

Ferrero began working as a coach for then-No. 11 Alexander Zverev in July 2017. The work ended in February 2018 due to several disagreements.

In 2019, he began coaching Carlos Alcaraz, a 16-year-old Spaniard.
