Nikoloz Basilashvili seems to be having some health conditions in the past few months. This forced him to withdraw from a match in Australia in January this year after struggling to breathe.

During this period at the Sydney Cup, where he was 4-1 down in the first set to world number 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas, Australian Open hopeful, Nikoloz Basilashvili needed medical attention.

Selected fourth at the Open Sud de France, Basilashvili was eliminated in the second round by qualifier Damir Dzumhur. Seeded eighth in Rotterdam, he was beaten in the first round by Mackenzie McDonald.
He was defeated in the second round by Oscar Otte. Having been a late entry to the Mallorca Open, Basilashvili, was defeated by World no.346 Mats Rosenkranz.
