Manny Machado is Dominican-American.

Manny was born on July 6, 1992, and grew up in Miami, Florida with his mother, Rosa Machado, his grandfather, Francisco Nunez, and his uncle, Geovanny Brito.
He had grown up in Hialeah together with Cincinnati Reds outfielder Albert Almora.
Machado attended Brito Miami high School and later, the Florida International University.

Manny currently plays as third baseman and shortstop for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He is a right-handed player.

He made his MLB debut in August 2012, and his breakout season came in 2013, and so far, he has been one of the best fielders in the game.
Manny is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner. He won the All-Star Game in 2015, 2016, and 2018.
Manny was later traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018. While playing for the team, he helped them reach the World Series.
During that season, Manny signed the richest contract in the history of North American sports with the Padres – a 10-year contract worth $300 million.
Manny says New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, has been his mentor since he was named rookie.
