Gabriel Landeskog is a professional Swedish ice hockey left winger and captain of the National Hockey League’s Colorado Avalanche.
Landeskog began his career with Hammarby IF and made his debut in the Swedish Hockey League in February 2009 against Brynas IF.
He competed in the World Junior Hockey Championships in 2010. He was selected as alternative captain for the 2011 World Junior Championships.

Landeskog was selected second overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and scored his first NHL goal on October 12, 2011, against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Gabriel Landeskog was named the NHL’s Top Rookie of the Month for February on March 1, 2012, after posting 7 goals and 6 assists in the month.
Landeskog led the Swedish team to victory over Switzerland in the 2013 World Championship, scoring three goals and four points in ten games.
