What happened to Jaylon Ferguson?

Jaylon Ferguson a Baltimore Ravens linebacker passed away at the age of 26 on Wednesday, June 22nd.

The Ravens said in a statement, “He was a polite, respectable young man with a wide smile and contagious energy.” “We extend our heartfelt sympathies to Jaylon’s family and friends as we grieve the loss of a life taken far too soon.”

His cause of death has not been disclosed. According to the Baltimore City Police Department, the case will be classified as an open questionable death investigation until the cause of death is determined.

Ferguson joined the Ravens after being picked in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Louisiana Tech.

Ferguson started nine games as a rookie in 2019 before appearing in 24 games over the next two seasons, largely as a reserve.

Ferguson was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and earned first-team All-C-USA honours twice while setting school and NCAA sack records.
