Tanya Swanigan
Tanya had 6 children for Caleb’s father, Carl Swanigan, who was at that time a cocaine addict.
He always fell into trouble with the legal authorities and was domestically abusive towards Tanya.
Carl later died in 2014 after battling complications resulting from diabetes. He was 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) and weighed nearly 500 pounds (230 kg) at his death.
Tanya later relocated with her children to Salt Lake City, and between Indianapolis and Utah. She later offered her son Caleb to AAU coach Roosevelt Barnes, for adoption.
