Australian actress and TV producer Carol Raye passed away in her home in Sydney, on June 19, 2022, at the age of 99.

Carol’s cause of death was not officially disclosed but there are speculations that she had died of pneumonia.
Late Carol is British born and well known for her roles in the movies, The Young Doctors, Number 96 and Sea Change.
She had also appeared on Graham Kennedy’s Blankety Blanks and The Mike Walsh Show.

She began her career with dancing from the age of 16.She later got married and migrated with her husband, Robert Ayre Smith, who was a veterinarian.
As far back as 1964, she produced and starred in the TV series The Mavis Bramston Show.
A week to her death, she had been awarded for her role in the Australian movie industry.
Carol is survived by her three children, including her daughters Sally Ayre Smith, and Harriet.
Sally was a co-producer on SeaChange, and Harriet, currently works with the Sydney Theatre Company.
