Max Verstappen dominated qualifying and will line up P1 for Sunday’s race after taking his second pole position in the 2022 F1 season.

Lining up alongside him in the front row is Fernando Alonso, who hustled his Alpine around the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in wet conditions to end the session.

Carlos Sainz will also line up third for Ferrari, with Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton achieving his highest starting spot of the season so far in fourth place.
