Stephen Colbert has been married to Evelyn McGee-Colbert since 1993. They are the parents of three children.

Evelyn McGee-Colbert is 57 years old and was born on July 23, 1963. Evelyn McGee is the daughter of Joseph McGee, a renowned Charleston litigation attorney and politician.

Evelyn majored in English and Drama at the University of Virginia’s College of Arts and Sciences. In 1985, she received her bachelor’s degree from the university.

McGee made her acting debut in the sitcom Strangers with Candy in 1999. She played Charles “Chuck” Noblet’s mother and Nurse Chestnut in an episode of the show developed by her husband.

McGee had a brief role in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, released in 2013.

Evelyn McGee Colbert currently works as an independent film producer and the Vice President of Spartina Productions, her husband’s production firm.

She is also the current chair of the Montclair Film Board of Trustees, which oversees the Montclair Film Festival, which takes place every year in her hometown of Montclair, New Jersey. She sits on the board of Charleston’s International African American Museum as well.
