Doug Homrich is the ex-husband of Katie Arrington, an American politician who was in the South Carolina House of Representatives from the 94th district for a single term, from 2017 to 2019.

Homrich and Katie got married in 1990. However, their marriage didn’t stand the test of time and they divorced in 2005; after 15 years of marriage.
In 1995, Katie and her then husband Homrich filed for personal bankruptcy after filing for and receiving food stamps.

Katie also utilized the funds from the sale of a company she founded, the Breakfast Club of America, to start a career in real estate development.
Homrich and Arrington have two children; Haleigh Homrich and Christian Homrich.
Katie defeated former South Carolina Governor and incumbent Congressman Mark Sanford in the Republican primary for South Carolina’s 1st congressional district but lost to Democrat Joe Cunningham in the general election.
In the 2022 Republican primary, Katie sought to win the nomination again, but was defeated by incumbent representative Nancy Mace.
