Peter Scott-Morgan died at the age of 64. His family announced his death on Twitter this morning. Tributes have been paid to him by most of his loved ones.

Peter Scott-Morgan is an English American scientist. He has motor neurone disease and describes himself as a human cyborg. He refused to accept his fate following a diagnosis of motor neurone disease in 2017.

He said he wanted to push the boundaries of what science can achieve so decided to extend his life and become fully robotic.
In 2020, he was the subject of Channel 4’s documentary Peter: The Human Cyborg. Scott-Morgan was educated at Kings College School where he became head boy. He has a BSC in computing science and PhD (1986) from Imperial College London which was the first doctorate awarded by the Robotics department in the British University.
