What Disease Does Joe Salisbury Suffer From?

Joe Salisbury was diagnosed with glandular fever and was unable to play for a year between the ages of 16 and 18.

Glandular fever is caused by the Epstein–Barr virus, which is relatively common (EBV). Most people are infected with the virus as children when the illness has little or no symptoms.

Young people commonly experience fever, sore throat, enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, as well as fatigue. The majority of people recover in two to four weeks, but the fatigue might last months or even years.
