She was the owner of the UK’s leading freight distribution network Pall-Ex group.
Hilary started palletised freight distribution business Pall-Ex, in 1996 with £112,000 from the sale of her house and car in the 1990s.
She made her first million within three years.
Pall-Ex takes care of around 8,000 palletised shipments at its headquarters in Leicestershire each day and makes deliveries to every UK postcode and 38 European countries daily.
Her company’s estimated annual revenues rack up just under £60million, and a combined international network turnover of over £100million.

The CEO & Chairman of Pall-Ex, Hilary also invest in a bedding specialist and events styling company.
She was awarded the Vitalise Woman of the Year Award in 2008, and an Honorary Doctorate of Law by the University of Leicester in 2010 for her industry services.
In 2013, she was made a CBE, honoured for her business career and her charitable work.
Hillary had an estimated net worth of over £80million.
Hilary Devey died on June 11, 2022, in Morocco following a long illness.
