Who started Pall-Ex? Does Hilary Devey still own Pall-Ex?

Pall-Ex. is a unitized freight distribution network founded by Hilary Devey CBE in 1996.  Hilary Devey worked at Littlewoods, Tibbett and Britten, Scorpio, and TNT before founding Pall-Ex in 1996. The network handled 117 pallets on its first night of operation.

Hilary Devey was the first woman to receive the Sir Robert Lawrence Award from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2009.

Pall-Ex entered the international market in 2009 when it formed a partnership with domestic hauliers to start Pall-Ex Italia.

Its operations in mainland Europe today include eight countries: Spain, Portugal, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, and the Benelux nations. Each country uses the hub-and-spoke freight distribution concept from its major hub to transport consignments. Europe -wide

Hilary Devey CBE sold Pall-Ex Group to its UK network membership and senior management team. Contracts were signed on the 15th of October 2019

The deal was handled by David Fairbrother of ADD Express, Maggie Larimore of PMB Pallets, and Craig Stevens of STD Developments, all of whom have known and worked with Hilary Devey for over twenty years, with Kevin Buchanan, group managing director of Pall-Ex.
