Ime Udoka is an American-Nigerian professional basketball coach and former player.

Udoka is the head coach for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association.

Born in Portland, Oregon, Udoka completed Jefferson High School in Portland.

Udoka played for Utah State University Eastern and the University of San Francisco before transferring to Portland State University where he played for the Vikings.

He represented the Nigeria national team during his playing career.

On June 28, 2021, the Boston Celtics signed a contract to hire Ime Udoka as head coach after firing coach Danny Ainge.

He is the 18th head coach in the history of the Celtics franchise and the first Nigerian head coach in the history of the NBA.

Udoka has also served as an assistant coach for USA Basketball under Spurs head coach, Gregg Popovich.

In March 2022, Udoka received 2022 NBA Coach of the Year.
