Justin Bieber announced on Friday, June 10 2022 that he has been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which has left him paralysed in half of his face.

Bieber has previously postponed many forthcoming gigs due to an ailment that had not been identified.

“For those who are disappointed by my cancellation of the upcoming gigs, I’m simply not physically capable of completing them,” Bieber explained. “As you can see, this is a terrible situation. I wish this wasn’t the case, but my body is telling me that I need to calm down. And I’m hoping you people get it.”

Bieber described his condition as “severe,” but added that he has been doing facial exercises to regain movement. Bieber went on to say that his face “will go back to normal,” but that it would take some time
Bieber was set to perform back-to-back gigs in Toronto on June 7 and 8 as part of his Justice World Tour, as well as a show in Washington, D.C. on June 10. All three performances have been rescheduled.
