1300 GMT: What Time Is 13 GMT?

13 GMT is 00:00 in UTC/GMT time.

Kiribati was the first to introduce a a time change for its eastern half on 31 December 1994, from time zones UTC−11:00 and UTC−10:00 to UTC+13:00 and UTC+14:00.

The reason was to prevent having the country divided by the International Date Line.

For Tonga, the country has been using UTC+13:00 for a long time.

Daylight saving time had been utilized during the southern summer seasons from October 1999 to January 2002, and from November 2016 to January 2017.

Up until 2009, UTC+13:00 was used till 2009 as a daylight time  in summer of Northern Hemisphere, in the places such as Chukotka and Kamchatka, that used Kamchatka Time.

By the end of year 2011 (UTC−10:00), Samoa moved its standard time from UTC−11:00 to UTC+13:00 and its daylight saving time from UTC−10:00 to UTC+14:00).

This altered the international date line to the other side of the country.

After Samoa, came Tokelau, changing its standard time almost at the same time.

It’s standard time was initially used without daylight saving time, but has been changed from UTC−11:00 to UTC+13:00.
