Juliet Seals is a singer-songwriter and the daughter of musician James Seals.

Juliet’s dad passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, aged 80.

Juliet’s dad was best known for his time with the 70’s soft rock duo Seals & Crofts.

Seals and Crofts moved to California, where they wrote songs for other artists before striking gold with their music and they are best known for their Hot 100 #6 hits “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl,” and “Get Closer.”

Their first album with their new label did not break into the charts, but their second album, Summer Breeze, charted at #7 in 1972. It sold over a million copies.

The breakthrough for Seals & Crofts came with their second album ‘Summer Breeze’. The title track ‘Summer Breeze’ reached number 6 in the US and number 16 in Australia, in 1972.

Though the duo disbanded in 1980, they reunited briefly in 1991–1992, and again in 2004, when they released their final album, Traces.

In 2004, Seals & Crofts released a new recording of this song on their final album, Traces; this version features vocals by their daughters, Juliet Seals Crossley and Lua Crofts.

Juliet has two siblings; Joshua and Sutherland.
