Is Patty Gasso still coaching?

Patty Gasso has not retired she is still coaching. Patty has been the University of Oklahoma’s head softball coach since 1995. She has coached the Sooners to five national titles in 2000, 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2021.

Patty has a record of 1,384–342–2 and a winning percentage of.802 in 28 years at the University of Oklahoma. Her teams have made fourteen appearances in the Women’s College World Series and have won the national championship five times: in 2000, 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2021.

Patty has a career record of 1,381–342–2 with a winning percentage of.801.  which is the greatest among Division I college softball coaches with at least 1,000 career victories. Gasso was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) in 2012.

Gasso and the Sooner softball team swept Florida in the national final on June 6, 2017, giving Gasso her second national championship in two years and fourth overall.

Gasso and the Sooner softball team defeated Florida State in the national title game on June 10, 2021, earning her fifth overall.
