DJ Gasso is a softball coach at the Utah State University.

A Norman, Oklahoma, native, Gasso earned his bachelor’s degree in communication in 2017 from Bradley University, where he spent two seasons (2016, ’17) as a standout baseball player following one year at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kan.
Gaso played as an infielder and he also excelled in the classroom, earning 2016 MVC Honorable Mention Scholar-Athlete recognition, and was a two-time MVC Honor Roll and four-time Athletics Director’s Honor Roll selection.
Gasso finished his collegiate baseball playing career at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2018, hitting .303 as a senior with a .395 on-base percentage and a .364 slugging average.

What does DJ Gasso do?

DJ Gasso is in his second season on the Utah staff in 2022, serving as the team’s hitting coach.
Gasso made an immediate impact on the Utah program in his first season in 2021.
The Utes hit 46 home runs, the most by a Utah team since 2012 (53), and scored 237 runs, the most since 2017.
Gasso joined the staff in June 2020 after spending the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma.
