Where Is Holly Azevedo From?

Holly Azevedo is a softball player who has been excellent for the UCLA softball team thus far.

Azevedo hails from San Jose, Calif and she played four years of softball at Pioneer High School in San Jose, Calif prior to her move to UCLA.

At Pioneer High School, Azevedo was very impressive as she swept home the following awards;

  1. Gatorade Player of the Year candidate,
  2. Mercury News Softball Player of the Year,
  3. Cal-Hi Bay Area Spring POY Central Coast Section and
  4. Prep2Prep CCS Softball POY.

Azevedo became the 18th pitcher in UCLA’s illustrious history of hurlers to reach 50 career wins on March 4, 2022 when she defeated Weber State (4.0 IP | 2 H | 0 R | 0 BB | 8 K).

Azevedo is also the owner of two no-hitters in the same season in 2022 (vs. CSUN – Feb. 10; vs. Arizona – March 20).

Azevedo’s UCLA career highlights thus far are below:

  1. Pac-12 First Team (2022)
  2. NFCA West All-Region Second Team (2018)
  3. Pac-12 All-Freshman Team (2018)
  4. Pac-12 Player of the Week (March 21, 2022)
  5. Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week (March 21, 2022)
