BriseBois is the general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League and the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Julien BriseBois never played hockey. BriseBois holds a law degree from the University of Montreal and a master’s degree in business administration from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business
He is a member of the Quebec Bar, the American Bar Association and the Sports Lawyers Association. He has served on the AHL’s Competition Committee, the Player Development Committee, and the CBA Committee.

BriseBois received the John Molson School of Business’s “MBA Alumnus of the Year” award in 2013. The Association des diplômés en droit de l’Université de Montréal bestowed the Distinction Award on BriseBois in 2016.
Before joining the Montreal Canadiens, BriseBois worked for the law firm Heenan Blaikie. During that time, he worked in sports law, representing various NHL and MLB teams in arbitration proceedings and serving as an advisor in contract talks. BriseBois also helped to alter the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s constitution and bylaws.
